Pigs raised in forest with access to many acorns and forest foraging.
Pricing at $8.00/lb hanging weight plus cut and wrap fees at Mohawk Valley Meats in Springfield.
Payments will be made to both the farmer and the butcher
for example:
Payment to the farmer ($8.00/lb hanging weight of the pig)
+ Payment to Butcher ($70 per head + $0.70/lb cut and paper wrap ($0.90/lb cut and vacuum seal) + (optional: $1.50/lb any meat you'd liked cured or smoked)
Half pork will be approximately $800
Customer will work with Mohawk to create their individualized order of cuts.
Once deposit is purchased, you'll receive an email within a day or two from Sarah with more information on your purchase, including a list of questions to prepare for conversation with Mohawk.
